SELF-ENROLLMENT NOW AVAILABLE FOR INSTITUTIONAL DATA POLICY TRAINING (Newslink Article)
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR JOB APPLICANTS
As part of Ohio State’s ongoing commitment to protect the personal, sensitive data of the university community, job applicants will no longer need to enter their Social Security numbers to set up an account at www.jobsatosu.com. This change complies with the university’s Policy on Institutional Data. The university’s online application system, People Admin, was upgraded on July 25 and 26 to accommodate this change.
INCREASED SECURITY FOR DISCOUNTS AND PROMOTIONS PAGE (from OSU Today)
In an effort to ensure that faculty and staff have exclusive access to the offers promoted on Ohio State’s faculty/staff discounts Web page, it will now require visitors to sign in using their name.# and password. This enhancement will enable the addition of new offers that are limited to Ohio State employees and may require restricted access, as well as keep the site protected from unwanted solicitors. General universitywide offers will continue to be listed on the page, and communicated through human resource professionals and Resources, the Office of Human Resources’ quarterly newsletter. REDUCED RATE ON DEBIX IDENTITY PROTECTION AVAILABLE (from OSU Today)
The Office of Human Resources has developed a partnership with Debix™, the Identity Protection Network that will provide Ohio State faculty and staff with the ability to safeguard the use of their personal information at a reduced rate.
