ATTENTION: E-MAIL SCAM WARNING
Over the past several months, a number of e-mails have been circulating from sources claiming to be from the Ohio State webmail team or admin managers. The e-mail asks people to submit their osu.edu e-mail account information and password, sometimes with personal information such as birth date. DO NOT REPLY to this e-mail. This is a phishing attempt and not a legitimate request. OSU's account management system does not request information in this format or through e-mail. OIT never requests your passwords. For more information on phishing, check out the Safe Computing phishing page.
Again, this is not a legitimate e-mail. Do not respond with any password or personal information!
If you have already responded, immediately go to the OSU account management page and change your OSU.edu account password. If you are unable to do this, immediately contact 8help (688-4357) to assist you with securing your account.
Thank You,
The Ohio State University Information Security Team
