Incident Response

Identity Theft Red Flags Training

Identity Theft Red Flags is a federal regulation that was effective November 1, 2009 and is part of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA). The regulation requires companies and institutions where goods or services are sold on deferred payment to detect, prevent and mitigate identity theft. As a member of the university, you have an important responsibility for detecting and preventing identity theft.

The training began in October, 2009. This training module is a key component to understanding the Identity Theft Red Flags regulation and what your role and responsibilities include.
