Below are a number of brochures, handouts, posters, and guides dealing with Information Security topics. These may be distributed within your college, department, or office to help increase awareness. The available downloads have been organized by general topic. Identity Theft
- Are you protecting your identity? Bi-fold distributed by the Office of the CIO. Provides common ways identity theft occurs, how to deter and detect identity theft, and identity theft resources available at OSU and on the web.
- Are you at risk for identity theft? Identity Theft IQ test offered by the Identity Theft Resource Center to test individuals' knowledge of the possible risk factors and ways of avoiding identity theft. Quiz is a one-page document.
- Identity Theft Victim Checklist This document lists the actions identity theft victims should take to clear the damage to their records. Provides relevant information for victims, such as how to complete an identity theft affidavit, what to do if debt collectors call, what to tell creditors, and the contact information for the three major credit bureaus.
- Federal Trade Commission's Deter, Detect, Defend Identity Theft Tri-fold brochure available via the Federal Trade Commission. Similar information to the university identity theft brochure, but is geared to a general audience and does not include the university resources.
- Identity Theft Fact Sheets A variety of handouts that cover topics such as how to freeze credit files, order credit reports, stop unwanted communications, and read a privacy policy. Handouts range in size from one page to several pages long.

General Information Security
- Information Security Starts with You Color brochure addresses why information security is important, relevant policies and laws, how to report security breaches, and general security practices. Excellent overview of information security topics.
- Faculty & Staff Guide to FERPA & Ohio Revised Code 1347 Presentation given by Office of the CIO Director of Information Security Charles Morrow-Jones on FERPA and Ohio Revised Code 1347 (formerly known as House Bill 104). Describes the legislation and how it affects faculty and staff.
- Information Security Implementation Plan Resources A list of available resources to aid in implementing units' Information Security plans.
- Information Security Tips for Faculty & Staff One page flyer with best practices and security tips. Can be customized to include individual unit information.
